When Cleo was born, things turned pink. Literally everyone gave us pink clothes and accessories! It seems common for girls in Thailand to be dressed in a very girly way.
Personally I like a more unisex style for Cleo, so everyone thought she was a boy in the beginning! I shop for her as I do for myself – I try to avoid big chains and support local small shops. I started exploring and found some real gems! If you’re looking for original ways to dress your little one, here are my best baby shops in Bangkok!
Note: many local shops don’t have a website, but put their collection out on Facebook and Instagram. You can place your order by contacting them either on their social media pages or through LINE (the Thai WhatsApp). After you pick your items, you’ll receive the shop’s bank details to make a transfer and your order will be on its way!
1. Nick & Nishka
If you want something out of the ordinary, Nick and Nishka is your go-to shop. Supreet is the woman behind this brand – the loss of her unborn baby Nishka encouraged her to go after her dream and launch her own kids’ clothing shop. A few weeks ago she has welcomed her rainbow baby! Shop her funky pieces here.
3. Brooklyn & Brighton
If you like to add some sense of humor to your little one’s closet, Brooklyn and Brighton is your shop! Named after her twin boys, Jan runs this eye-catching brand. She has all kinds of “professional” outfits to dress your baby in: a little carpenter, a cook, a doctor, a Starbucks barista, … name a job and they have it at B&B! Perfect for a costume party or just to put a smile on everyone’s face!
Din, or Delight In Nature, is a shop based in Chiang Mai, in the north of Thailand. Their pieces are indigo-dyed and made from natural fiber. If you’re looking for no-nonsense and high quality clothes for your baby, be sure to check out Din.
I keep discovering new brands for myself and Cleo – Bangkok is such an amazingly creative city! Of course I’ll be sharing my new finds with you on this page and my Instagram (give me a follow if you haven’t yet!). As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts and your own shopping finds – drop me a comment or message!
